Rebecca Hoyt has worked in public education as a secondary teacher and instructional leader. Most recently, she worked with Alabama magnet schools to provide innovative curricula and stimulating classroom instruction for kindergarten through twelfth-grade children. The magnet programs offer distinctive expanded educational choices to invite more remarkable individual growth and exploration opportunities, including early college, STEM/STEAM, fine arts, and academic rigor for students. 

Ms. Hoyt holds a B.S. in Political Science from Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, Georgia, and a B.S. in Secondary Education from Athens State University, Athens, Alabama. Additionally, Ms. Hoyt has earned an M. Ed. in Educational Leadership and an Ed. S. in Administration of Elementary and Secondary Leadership from Auburn University. 

In her previous roles, Ms. Hoyt led district-wide efforts to develop and establish plans and programs to move students and schools forward in obtaining measurable increases in academic performance and growth, leading to higher scores on the Alabama State Report Card.
