This summer, the Alabama State Department of Education completed its annual inspection of the Pike Road Schools bus fleet — and the results gave us something to celebrate!
All 48 PRS school buses were inspected, with zero major deficiencies found.
The comprehensive inspection included safety checks of braking, exhaust, steering and signaling systems, tires, and other equipment. Inspectors also reviewed maintenance records and procedures to ensure the district remains in compliance with state requirements.
While a zero-deficiency inspection is certainly worth celebrating, the results represent much more than a number on a report. They reflect the work happening behind the scenes throughout the year to make sure our buses are safe and ready to transport students each day.
The Alabama State Department of Education recognized those efforts in its report, thanking the PRS transportation and maintenance staff for their continued commitment to providing safe buses for our students.
Congratulations to our Transportation Department on an outstanding inspection — and thank you for the work you do every day to keep our Patriots safe!
