Pike Road Schools Board of Education will hold a Called Board Meeting beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, to conduct regular business. The meeting will be at Pike Road School Central Office.
🚌 Does your child plan to ride the school bus this year?
Make sure to register them for the 2025–2026 school year today!

To receive bus service during the first two weeks of school, you must submit your request by this date.

Pike Road High School is excited to host freshman orientation for all C9 learners on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This orientation is for learners only (Don’t worry parents - we can’t wait to meet you at Open House!) and will include PRHS introductory information as well as fun activities for learners to engage with our freshman team as well as their peers.

A big shoutout to the PRHS FCCLA officers who dedicated their Saturday morning to volunteer with the Pike Road P.R.A.Y.E.R. Team's Summer Feeding Program. They teamed up with a few PRS faculty & staff members to load vehicles with food, spreading smiles all morning long!
The Pike Road School’s June Board of Education Meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 26, starting at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Pike Road Schools Central Office.
Join us in celebrating Pike Road High School's 2025 National Merit Auburn University Scholarship recipient Annabelle Lipscomb! Annabelle, who was also the valedictorian of her class, plans to attend Auburn University this fall where she will study Chemical Engineering with a Pre-Med Path. Congratulations Annabelle!

We’re excited to announce that Coach Mike Atkins has been named the new Athletic Director for Pike Road Schools!
Coach Atkins brings 22 years of experience in teaching and coaching—including 6 years as an Athletic Director—to this leadership role. For the past 5 years, he’s been a part of the Pike Road High School team, and we’re proud to see him step into this next chapter.
Pike Road is home for the Atkins family. His wife of 23 years, Valerie, is the school counselor at PRJHS. Their son Evan is a PRHS graduate, and daughters Claudia and Sophia are current Pike Road students.
The Pike Road School’s Annual Board of Education Meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 19, starting at 6:00 p.m., at the Pike Road Central Office.
Pike Road Junior High students had an opportunity to witness Governor Kay Ivey sign the FOCUS Act into law—legislation that prohibits the use of smartphones and other wireless devices inside Alabama’s public schools.
Students were joined by the bill’s sponsors, Rep. Leigh Hulsey and Sen. Donnie Chesteen, along with faculty from Pike Road Junior High.

A Florence, AL native and proud graduate of Sheffield High, Mr. Benson brings a wealth of experience in music education and performance. He holds degrees from Northwest-Shoals, the University of South Alabama, the University of Florida, and is currently pursuing his doctorate from Liberty University.
With a proven record of excellence—leading award-winning bands and organizing major events like the Little Big Horn Marching Band Competition—Mr. Benson is ready to inspire our students and continue building strong traditions at PRHS. Welcome to the Patriot family! ❤️💙
