Pike Road Schools recently hosted a professional development event focused on strengthening student mental health supports in conjunction with the PATHS (Pediatric Access to Telemental Health Services) Program.
Pike Road staff engaged with current data and research-based strategies to better meet the evolving needs of students.
The session was led by Jeff Davis of Safe Screens and Sound Minds and organized through the leadership of the district’s Mental Health Services Coordinator, Mrs. Brittany Parker. The event reflects the district’s continued commitment to staying informed and providing proactive, well-aligned support for all students.

Congratulations to Sophomore Dylan “Pickle” Yarema, who earned 3rd Place in the 132-pound weight class, and Junior Jack Posey, who secured 3rd Place in the 150-pound weight class at the AHSAA 6A State Championship! Their performance throughout the tournament demonstrated focus and the hard work they had put in all season.
Earning a medal at the state championship level is no small accomplishment. Dylan and Jack represented our school with class and determination, and we are so proud of the way they competed!

No School for Students on Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents' Day! Enjoy your three-day weekend!

This week, our kindergartners shared the love with residents at Hillview Terrace through a program called Nursing Home Blessings. Learners brought in items to fill the bags, including homemade cards. Classes decorated their bags before they were delivered.

This weekend is School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! Today, we would like to celebrate our Performing Arts Center SRO, Deputy Frederick Gordon! We appreciate Deputy Gordon today, and every day, for all he does for staff and students at the PAC.
Thank you, Deputy Gordon!
Thank you, Deputy Gordon!

This weekend is School Resource Officer Day, and today we’re proud to celebrate and recognize two outstanding members of our Georgia Washington school family — Officer Woodard and Corporal Dupree. 💙
Their presence on campus goes far beyond keeping our school safe. They build relationships with students and show up each day ready to serve with professionalism and care. Whether they’re helping during arrival and dismissal, supporting school events, or simply taking time to connect with students, they make a difference.
We are grateful for Officer Woodard and Corporal Dupree today and every day!

This weekend is School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! 🛡️ We are so incredibly thankful for Deputy Eric Skipper and everything he does for our students and staff at Pike Road Intermediate School. Thank you for keeping our halls safe and our smiles bright!

This weekend is School Resource Officer Day, so today we want to celebrate one of the very best, Corporal Adam Hill!
At PRES, Corporal Hill is so much more than an officer. He’s a smiling face at morning arrival, a steady hand directing traffic, a helper for our little learners heading to K4, and a friend who isn’t afraid to dress like an alien for Halloween or get slimed for a fundraiser!
He helps at dismissal, walks students safely to carpool, and jumps in wherever he’s needed. Our students love him, and our school family is grateful for his willingness to serve with kindness and joy.
PRES is proud to have Corporal Hill!
