We are mindful of our staff and faculty who commute from outside of the area, and the safety of our young drivers traveling in these conditions. 📌 We are continuing to monitor the weather and are staying updated with current EMA and local forecasts. Because many of our teachers and staff travel from outside the Pike Road area, we evaluate conditions across a wide region when making safety decisions.

Pike Road Schools welcomes Dr. Mona Hurston as the newest member of the Board of Education. Dr. Hurston brings extensive experience in PreK–12 and higher education, with expertise in educational leadership, data-driven decision-making, and student supports that promote academic success.

are Alabama residents who are 4-years-old by September 1, 2026.
A l a b a m a First C l a s s P r e - K offers 4-year-olds access to high-quality prekindergarten programs in their communities. It has been awarded the highest quality rating by the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) for 19 consecutive years.
Registration will remain open for a site until the site completes its random selection drawing in March.
Child selection is completed through a random drawing if there are more children/families registered than seats available in a particular program. Selection is not based on a first come first serve basis.

We are incredibly proud of our students and teachers at Pike Road High School. Last night, we celebrated 288 qualifying Advanced Placement scores, an outstanding achievement that shows tremendous hard work and dedication.
Students earned $100 for every qualifying score, and our teachers were recognized for the time, effort, and expertise they pour into preparing students for AP success.
Thanks to a grant from A+ College Ready and a generous donation from Representative Reed Ingram, our students & teachers collectively earned $397,000 in AP incentives and potential college credits.
